Create an account and sign in

How to create an Interview Pilot account and sign in with email, Apple or Google on Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android and the web.

Applies toMacWindowsiPhoneAndroidWeb

One Interview Pilot account works on every device. You need it to use the Mac and Windows apps. On iPhone and Android it’s optional, and signing in syncs your interview profiles and history across your devices.

Ways to sign in

Sign-in methodMac and WindowsiPhoneAndroidWeb
Email and passwordYesYesYesYes
GoogleYesYesYesYes
AppleYesYesNoYes

Use the same method on every device so you always reach the same account. If you sign in with Google or Apple using the email address of an account you already have, you reach that account.

Create an account or sign in

The Mac app signs you in through your web browser.

  1. On Welcome to Interview Pilot, click Sign In. Your browser opens Log in to Interview Pilot.
  2. Choose Google or Continue with Apple, or enter your email address and password and click Log in. To make a new account, click Create account at the bottom. If you’re already signed in on the web in that browser, this step is skipped.
  3. The page shows Connection ready and hands you back to the app. If your browser asks whether to open Interview Pilot, allow it, or click Open Interview Pilot. The app updates on its own.

If you’re on the Free plan, your browser then opens the plans page. The app is already signed in, so you can close it.

Password and username rules

  • Password: 8 to 200 characters, with no spaces.
  • Username (asked when you sign up in the iPhone or Android app): 3 to 30 characters, using only letters, numbers and underscores.

Verify your email address

When you create an account with an email address and password, Interview Pilot sends an email with the subject Verify your email - Interview Pilot. Open it and click Verify Email. The link works for 24 hours.

Until you verify, you’ll see a reminder:

  • iPhone and Android: the account menu, opened with the account button at the top of the Profile tab, shows Email not verified. Tap Resend Verification Email if you need a new link.
  • Web: the dashboard and Account settings show a notice. Click Resend email for a new link.

Signing in on a phone for the first time

The first time you sign in on iPhone or Android, the interview profiles, history and practice you created on that phone are added to your account automatically. You don’t need to do anything.

If you later sign in to a different account on the same phone, the previous account’s data is removed from the phone. It stays in that account, and comes back when you sign in to it again.
