Adjust the interview panels

Move and resize Interview Pilot on Mac and Windows, and change panel transparency, click-through, font size, theme, keyword highlighting and shortcut hints.

Applies toMacWindows

On Mac and Windows, you can place the interview panels where they’re easiest to read during a call, and change how they look in the workspace under Settings › Appearance.

Move the panels

  • Drag: press on an empty part of the control bar at the top of Interview Pilot and drag.
  • Keyboard: press ⌘←, ⌘→, ⌘↑ or ⌘↓ on Mac, or Ctrl←, Ctrl→, Ctrl↑ or Ctrl↓ on Windows. Hold the keys to keep moving.

The keyboard works even while your meeting app is in front, so you can move Interview Pilot without clicking it.

If Interview Pilot has moved off screen, see I can’t find the Interview Pilot window.

Resize the panels

Drag any edge or corner of Interview Pilot. It remembers its position and size, so it opens the same way next time.

To give the answer more room, collapse the transcript: click the arrow at the bottom left of the transcript panel. Click it again to expand the transcript.

Appearance settings

Open the workspace and go to Settings › Appearance.

To undo your changes, click Reset to Defaults at the bottom of the page, then Reset.

On Windows, App Language is on this page too. See Interview language and app language.

Click-through panels

With Click-Through Panels on, you can click a document, code editor or meeting window that sits behind the answer panel. The transcript panel and the control bar still take clicks.

While it’s on, you can’t click or scroll in the answer panel with your mouse. Use the keyboard instead:

  • ⌘Shift↑ and ⌘Shift↓ on Mac, or CtrlShift↑ and CtrlShift↓ on Windows, scroll the answer.
  • ⌘1 to ⌘9 on Mac, or Ctrl1 to Ctrl9 on Windows, choose a follow-up.
