Import from a resume or job posting
Fill in a profile from your resume or a job posting with Upload a file, see which files work, and fix import errors such as scanned PDFs.
Upload your resume on the Personal info tab, or a job posting on the Job details tab, and Interview Pilot fills in the fields for you. Check the result, then keep it or undo it.
Import a file
Open the profile
Open the profile you want to fill in. On iPhone and Android, tap Personal Info or Job Details.
Choose Upload a file
Upload a file is at the top of Personal info and Job details. Choose your resume or CV on Personal info, or a job posting or company document on Job details. On the web, you can also drag the file onto the box.
Wait while it imports
The box shows Importing with AI while Interview Pilot reads the file. Importing needs an internet connection.
Check the fields and save
Read through the filled-in fields and correct anything that’s off. On Mac, Windows and the web, click Save profile. On iPhone and Android, changes save automatically.
Which fields are filled in
| Tab | Fields |
|---|---|
| Personal info | Experience and education, Skills, Additional personal information |
| Job details | Job title, Company, Job description, Company or team information, Additional job information |
Interview Pilot merges what it finds with what’s already in the fields, so you can import a second file to add to the first. Your custom instructions aren’t changed.
On the web, the file you import is also attached to the profile under Documents (Optional). In the apps, it isn’t. Attach it there yourself if you want Copilot to see the whole file.
Undo an import
After an import, Undo and Redo appear at the bottom of the tab, next to Clear All. Undo puts the fields back the way they were before the import. Redo applies the import again. Nothing is kept until you click Save profile.

The import only changes the page until you click Save profile. To discard it, leave the page without saving and confirm that you want to leave. The file stays attached under Documents (Optional), so remove it there if you don’t need it.
Clear All empties every field on the tab and removes that tab’s attached documents, after you confirm.
