Start, answer, clear and end

What each Copilot button does as it changes during an interview, the difference between Done and End, the 10-minute recording limit and how your session is kept safe.

Copilot has two buttons: a main button that starts listening and asks for answers, and a second button next to it that stops, clears or ends. Their labels change as the interview moves along.

The buttons on Mac and Windows

The buttons sit in the bar at the top of the Interview Pilot window. The second button is a round icon: hover over it to see its name.

You can also turn on Double-Tap Start: open Settings (the Profile tab), tap Interview Mode and switch it on. Double-tapping the transcript or answer area then does the same as the main button.

Done and End

Interview Pilot saves your interview to History as each answer is ready. When you click End, you see End Interview Session?. Click End to clear the transcript, answers and screenshots from the panels and start fresh. The interview stays in History.

The 10-minute recording limit

A single recording stops on its own after 10 minutes. The transcript so far stays. Press Start on a computer or Start Recording on a phone to keep listening.

In Continuous mode, Copilot starts a new recording each time it starts listening again after an answer, so the limit rarely comes up in a normal interview.

If the app closes during a session

Interview Pilot saves your current session on the device as you go, about every 30 seconds. If the app quits or your device restarts, open Interview Pilot again: the answers from your session are back on screen, and you can carry on.
