Keyboard shortcuts
Show, hide and move Interview Pilot, get answers and add screenshots without touching your mouse, on Mac, Windows and phones with a keyboard.
Desktop shortcuts
On Mac and Windows, Interview Pilot’s shortcuts work in every app, so you can use them while your meeting app is in front. The most useful one is show and hide.

| ⌘← ⌘→ ⌘↑ ⌘↓ | Move the panels. Hold to keep moving. |
| ⌘Shift← ⌘Shift→ | Go to the previous or next question |
| ⌘Shift↑ ⌘Shift↓ | Scroll the answer |
| ⌘K | Capture a screenshot as screen context |
| ⌘ShiftK | Remove the oldest screenshot |

Good to know
- Signed out: on Mac and Windows, you can still show, hide and move the window. The other shortcuts bring the window forward so you can sign in.
- Follow-up shortcuts work when an answer is on screen and nothing is generating. They’re numbered in the order shown: New answer, Misheard term, Explain more, Give an example, then any suggested follow-ups. Interview Pilot asks you to confirm before it generates.
- Shortcut hints appear under the panels. To hide them, turn off Show Shortcut Hints in the workspace under Settings › Appearance. Turning off Show Follow-Up Actions there also turns off the numbered follow-up shortcuts.
- Phone shortcuts only work on the Interview screen, and not while you’re typing in a text field or a sheet is open.
- You can see the desktop list at any time in the workspace under Tips & Tricks.
If a shortcut does nothing
Shortcuts can’t be changed. If another app on your computer uses the same keys, one of the two apps may not get them. For example, while Interview Pilot is running, ⌘B may not make text bold in other apps on a Mac.
If a shortcut stops working:
- Make sure Interview Pilot is running. Open it from Spotlight on Mac or the Start menu on Windows.
- Quit any other app that uses the same shortcut, then try again.
- If it still doesn’t work, quit and reopen Interview Pilot from Account › Quit App in the workspace.
