Manage several profiles

Keep a profile for each job you’re interviewing for. Choose the one Copilot uses, and duplicate, reorder, rename or delete profiles on any device.

Applies toMacWindowsiPhoneAndroidWeb

You can keep several interview profiles, one for each job. Copilot uses only the profile selected for interviews, so switch to the right one before each interview.

Find your profiles

Every profile appears as a card in Interview Profiles. Each card has a menu with the dots in its corner, with Edit profile, Duplicate profile, Move earlier, Move later and Delete profile.

Press ⌘B to show Interview Pilot, open the workspace and click Profile.

Choose the profile for your interview

The selected profile shows Selected for interviews on its card. To use another profile, click or tap Select for interviews on its card. On iPhone and Android, you can also open a profile and tap Select at the top right.

The choice is made on each device, so check it on the device you’ll use in the interview. For other ways to switch, including from the Copilot tab on a phone, see What an interview profile is.

Duplicate a profile

Duplicating is the quickest way to prepare for a new job: copy a profile with your background already filled in, then change the job details.

  1. Choose Duplicate profile

Open the menu with the dots on the profile’s card and choose Duplicate profile. On iPhone and Android, you can also open the profile and choose it from the menu at the top right.

  2. Confirm

You see Duplicate profile?. Choose Duplicate profile to make the copy.

  3. Rename the copy

The copy is called the original name followed by “copy”, and it appears first in your list. Open it and change the name and job details.

The copy includes every field and the custom instructions, but not the attached documents. If the original has documents, the confirmation says Attached documents will not be copied. Attach them to the copy if you need them. See Attach documents to a profile.

Duplicating doesn’t change which profile is selected for interviews.

Change the order

New profiles and copies appear at the start of the list. To move a profile, open the menu with the dots on its card and choose Move earlier or Move later. Each choice moves it one place.

When you’re signed in, the order is saved to your account, so your profiles appear in the same order on every device.

Rename a profile

Open the profile and type a new name in Profile name at the top. Names can be up to 200 characters.

On Mac, Windows and the web, click Save profile to keep the new name. On iPhone and Android, the name is saved when you finish typing.

Delete a profile

  1. Choose Delete profile

Open the menu with the dots on the profile’s card and choose Delete profile. You can also open the profile: click Delete on Mac, Windows or the web, or choose Delete profile from the menu at the top right on iPhone and Android.

  2. Confirm

You see Delete profile?. Choose Delete on Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, or Delete profile on the web.

If you delete the profile selected for interviews, another of your profiles is selected in its place.

Use the same instructions in every profile

Custom instructions belong to each profile. To share one set across all your profiles, open any profile and turn on Apply to all profiles above the instructions. On Mac, Windows and the web, click Save profile to keep the change. See Custom instructions.
