Which device should I use?
Compare the Mac and Windows apps, the iPhone and Android apps and the web platform, and see what each one does and whether it needs an account.
Use the Mac or Windows app on the computer you take your interview on. The iPhone and Android apps run Copilot too, and add practice and job search. The web platform is for preparing, practicing and managing your account. Your account and one Pro subscription connect all of them.
Mac and Windows apps
The desktop apps are built for live interviews on the same computer as your meeting.
- Copilot hears the interviewer through your computer’s audio and hears you through your microphone, so it works with speakers or headphones. On a Mac, hearing your computer’s audio needs macOS 14.4 or later.
- Designed to stay hidden when you share your screen. Show or hide the window with ⌘B on a Mac or CtrlB on Windows.
- Screen context: capture screenshots of your screen, such as a coding question, for Copilot to use in its answers.
- Workspace: set up interview profiles, customize Copilot and review your history.
- Account required. You sign in through your web browser the first time you open the app.

iPhone and Android apps
The phone apps run Copilot and have everything for preparing in one place.
- Copilot listens through your phone’s microphone. You can add photos as context, from your camera or photo library.
- Practice: browse interview questions and do AI mock interviews with feedback.
- Jobs: search and save job listings.
- History and interview profiles, the same as on the desktop.
- Controls from a Bluetooth keyboard, and from Apple Watch on iPhone.
- No account needed. Everything is saved on the phone until you sign in.

Web platform
The web platform at platform.interviewpilot.app works in your browser. It doesn’t run Copilot during a live interview.
- Interview Profiles and History, the same as in the apps.
- AI Mock interviews with feedback, and the Playground, where you try interview questions with your saved profile. Both need Pro.
- Question Bank and Jobs. Without Pro, Jobs shows a preview of the listings.
- Account settings: your subscription, usage, password and account.
You can browse the Question Bank and preview jobs without signing in. Everything else needs your account.
