Schedule interviews and get reminders
Add upcoming interviews to the Scheduler on iPhone or Android by forwarding the invitation email or entering them yourself, and choose when you get reminded.
The Scheduler in the iPhone and Android apps keeps your upcoming interviews in one calendar and reminds you before each one. Add an interview by forwarding its invitation email, or enter it yourself.
Open the Scheduler
The Scheduler saves your interviews to your Interview Pilot account, so you need to be signed in. Signed out, it shows Sign In Required with Sign In and Register buttons. Create an account or sign in.
To open it, go to the Profile tab and tap Schedule Interviews under Interview Settings.
Interviews you add appear on every phone where you’re signed in to the same account. The Scheduler isn’t available in the Mac and Windows apps or on the web.
Forward an invitation email
Copy the scheduler address
At the top of the Scheduler, under Add Interviews, tap schedule@mail.interviewpilot.app to copy it.
Forward the invitation from your account’s email address
In your email app, forward the interview invitation to that address. Send it from the email address shown under Send from:, which is the one on your Interview Pilot account. Emails from any other address aren’t processed.
Check the Scheduler
Interview Pilot reads the company, role, date, time, location and meeting link from the email, and adds the interview to your calendar. On iPhone, you also get a notification when it’s added.
For the best results, forward the original invitation, not a reply or a long thread. If the email has no clear date and time, no interview is added. In that case, add it yourself. To read more in the app, tap Learn More on the Add Interviews card.
Add an interview yourself
Tap the plus button
It’s at the top right of the Scheduler.
Fill in the details
Enter the Company and the Date & Time. You can also add the Role, an end time, the Location, a Meeting URL, the Interviewer and Notes.
Tap Add
The interview appears in your calendar.
Use the calendar
- The month calendar shows each interview on its day.
- Below it, Upcoming and Past list your interviews. Upcoming ones show Today, Tomorrow or how many days are left.
- Tap an interview to see its details. Tap the meeting link to join, or use the edit and delete buttons at the top.
Deleting an interview removes it from the Scheduler on all your phones.
Choose when you’re reminded
Each upcoming interview gets two reminders, set the same way for all your interviews:
| Reminder | iPhone name | Android name | Default | Choices |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A reminder to prepare | Early Reminder | Practice Reminder | 1 day before | 1 to 14 days before, or Off |
| A reminder just before it starts | Final Reminder | Interview Alert | 1 hour before | 10 minutes to 3 hours before, or Off |
To change them, go to the Profile tab, tap Notifications, and make sure Enable Notifications and Interview Reminders are on. The reminder choices appear under Interview Reminders. You can also get there from the bell button at the top of the Scheduler.
Each phone sets its own reminders and keeps its own reminder choices. You get reminders on every phone where you’re signed in and have notifications allowed. If reminders don’t arrive, see Notifications and practice reminders.
