How sync works across your devices

See what your account keeps in sync across Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android and the web, what stays on each device, and what happens to changes made offline.

When you’re signed in, your interview profiles, documents, folders, interview history and practice are saved to your Interview Pilot account. They appear on every device signed in to the same account. Settings and audio recordings stay on the device where you made them.

Your account holds your work. Each device keeps its own settings, and phones keep their recordings.

Choosing a profile for interviews on one device doesn’t change the profile your other devices use.

When changes reach your other devices

While you’re online, each change is saved to your account as you make it. Your other devices pick it up when they next sync, for example when you open the app or switch back to it. On the web, reload the page to see the latest changes.

To see the same work everywhere, sign in to the same account on each device. The email address you’re signed in with is shown in My Account on a phone, on the Account page in the Mac and Windows workspace, and in Account settings on the web.

Changes made offline

On Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, you can keep editing your profiles and history without a connection. The app saves your changes on the device and sends them to your account when you’re back online. The web needs a connection for every change.

Copilot itself needs the internet to transcribe and generate answers.

When the same item changes on two devices

  • Different details: if you edit the job title on one device and the skills on another, both edits are kept.
  • The same detail: the edit that reaches your account last is kept.
  • Deleted on one device: the deletion wins over edits made elsewhere.

On the web, you may see This item changed on another device. Refresh the page before trying again. Reload the page, check the item, then make your change again.

Check sync status

Open the Profile tab, tap File Settings, and look at Cloud Sync.
