Weekly limits and when they reset
See how many free interview sessions, Copilot answers and transcription minutes you have left, when they reset, and what happens when you run out.
On the Free plan, you get 3 interview sessions, 10 Copilot answers and 30 minutes of premium transcription each week. Limits counted for your account reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC. Limits counted on a device reset at the start of that device’s week.

When limits reset
| Limit | Resets |
|---|---|
| Copilot answers on Mac, Windows and the web | Every Monday at 00:00 UTC |
| Premium transcription, when you’re signed in | Every Monday at 00:00 UTC |
| Interview sessions on Windows | Every Monday at 00:00 UTC |
| Interview sessions on Mac | At the start of the week on your Mac’s calendar |
| Interview sessions, Copilot answers and transcription minutes counted on iPhone or Android | At the start of the week on your phone’s calendar |
Your Mac or phone starts its week on Sunday or Monday, depending on your region settings. Unused sessions, answers and minutes don’t carry over.
What counts as a session
- On Mac and Windows, a session counts once its first answer is saved to your history.
- On iPhone and Android, a session counts when you end it.
Generating more answers in the same session doesn’t use another session, but each answer uses one of your Copilot answers. On iPhone and Android, each AI mock interview you start also uses one Copilot answer.
What happens when you reach a limit
- No sessions left: clicking Start doesn’t start a session, and no message appears. If Start isn’t responding, check these other causes too.
- No Copilot answers left: the answer panel shows Failed to generate response. Please try again.
- No premium transcription left: transcription stops until your minutes reset.
The answer panel shows one of these messages:
- Free interview session limit reached for this week.
- Weekly Copilot usage limit exceeded.
- Transcription is currently unavailable. This appears when your premium transcription minutes have run out.
- No sessions or Copilot answers left: the plans screen opens when you start a session or ask for an answer.
- No premium transcription left: Interview Pilot switches to Default transcription. It switches back to Copilot Premium+ after your minutes reset.
- No sessions or Copilot answers left: the plans screen opens when you start a session or ask for an answer.
- No premium transcription left: you see Premium Transcription Unavailable and Try again later.
On the web, the Playground and AI mock interviews need Pro, so you won’t reach a weekly limit there. Account settings › Usage shows the answers your account has left for the Mac and Windows apps.
