Most billing problems can be sorted out by checking what your account has and where you paid. Find your situation below.

To see your subscriptions, sign in at platform.interviewpilot.app, open Account settings and choose the Subscription tab. The top section shows your current Plan, Status, Source and Current period. Subscription records lists every subscription this account has had, with its Plan, Status, Provider and Period end.

Your phone purchase is linked to another account

An App Store or Google Play subscription can belong to only one Interview Pilot account at a time. If you subscribed on your phone while signed in to one account, and later use a different account on your computer, the phone keeps Pro but the other account doesn’t get it.

  • Sign in with the account the purchase belongs to on every device. On the web, its Source shows App Store or Google Play.
  • If you deleted that account, sign in to the phone app with the account you want to use and open the app. The purchase moves to that account when the app next checks it.
  • If you can’t tell which account has it, contact support with every email address you’ve used for Interview Pilot.

You can’t subscribe on the web

On the plans page, the plan buttons show what your account already has:

ButtonWhat it means
Active subscription, grayed outYour account already has Pro from the App Store or Google Play. You don’t need to buy it again. Manage it in the store.
Manage billing or Manage planYou already subscribe on the web. Manage plan switches between monthly and yearly.
Activation pendingYour payment went through and Pro is being activated. Wait a moment, or see I paid but the app still shows Free.

If you see Unable to start checkout., try again in a moment.

You were charged twice

Check Subscription records on the web. Two active records usually mean one of these:

  1. You subscribed in two places, for example on the web and in the iPhone app. Each one bills you separately. Keep one and cancel the other where you bought it.
  2. You have two Interview Pilot accounts, each with its own subscription. This can happen if you signed up with Apple’s Hide My Email and also with your own email address. Sign in to each account and check its Subscription records.

On iPhone, the Subscriptions screen shows Free for subscriptions paid on the web, even when Pro works. Check Settings › Usage instead of subscribing again.

To ask for money back for the extra payment, see Refunds.

A charge you don’t recognize

  • It may be a renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. On the web, Current period shows when the current one ends.
  • Deleting the app doesn’t stop billing. App Store and Google Play subscriptions keep renewing until you cancel them in the store, even if you deleted Interview Pilot or your account.
  • Check the store. On iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Apple’s and Google’s steps may vary.

If you still can’t find it, contact support with the date of the charge and the email address on any receipt you received.

Your payment failed or shows Past due

In Account settings › Subscription, Status shows Past due when a renewal payment didn’t go through. Click Manage billing and update your payment method on the billing page.

If Manage billing shows Unable to open the billing portal., try again in a moment.

If the Subscription tab shows Billing status is temporarily unavailable. Your access has not changed., the page couldn’t load your billing details. Click Try again.
